Mission & Goals

Our Mission

The purpose of this non-profit is to help farm and domestic animals in need through rescuing, rehabilitating and sheltering, while providing education, adoptions, spay/neuter and community outreach volunteer programs. For many rescued animals, WoodHaven Rescue Farm becomes their sanctuary, and they are allowed to live out the rest of their lives here is a safe environment.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help as many animals as possible. We do know that adequate space and shelter is needed, and at times we may not have space to care full time for rescue animals. WoodHaven Rescue Farm has a network in place to offer assistance for animals. Currently we are at capacity for standard sized horses, pigs and cattle, but we are able to help place animals in need. We do have space for llama, alpaca, miniature horses/donkeys, as well as some types of farm birds. We offer short term rescue of orphaned kittens/puppies, with the goal to find forever homes once they are weaned and healthy.

With every rescue, the ultimate goal is to do what is best for each animal. In many cases, once the animal is healthy, the search for the perfect forever home begins. We go through a very thorough background check before adopting out any animal, as we want to be sure it is the perfect FURever home. Unfortunately, some of the animals we rescue are not adoptable due to age/health/behavior issues. These animals will live out remainder of lives in the sanctuary of WoodHaven Rescue Farm.
