Mission & Goals

Our Mission

The purpose of this non-profit is to help farm animals in need through rescuing, rehabilitating, and sheltering, while providing education, adoptions, and community outreach volunteer programs. For many rescued animals, WoodHaven Rescue Farm becomes their sanctuary, and they are allowed to live out the rest of their lives here, in a safe environment.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help as many animals as possible. We do know that adequate space and shelter are needed, and at times, we may not have space to care for rescue animals full-time. WoodHaven Rescue Farm has a network in place to offer assistance for animals. Currently, we are at capacity for standard-sized horses and cattle, but sometimes we can help find a place for animals in need. We do have space for llamas, alpacas, miniature horses/donkeys, and some types of farm birds.

With every rescue, the ultimate goal is to do what is best for each animal. In many cases, once the animal is healthy, the search for the perfect forever home begins. We conduct a thorough background check before adopting out any animal, as we want to be sure it is the perfect FURever home. Unfortunately, some of the animals we rescue are not adoptable due to age, health, and/or behavioral issues. These animals will live out the remainder of their lives in sanctuary at WoodHaven Rescue Farm.
